BYK-P 9920

BYK P 9920 is an additive specially developed to improve fiber wetting in fiber reinforced composites. BYK P 9920 contains oligomeric substances and wetting agents that helps in reducing air entrapment and porosity during manufacturing. The additive avoids dry spots and reduces scrap rates. BYK P 9920 with its high non-volatile content of more than 90% is particularly suitable for closed mold manufacturing processes. The epoxy functional groups in BYK P 9920 allows it to integrate well into the matrix. BYK P 9920 can be added at any stage of manufacturing and improves mechanical properties by ensuring uniform distribution of fibers.
