BYK-A 550

BYK A 550 is a silicone-free air-release additive that provides excellent air release qualities with minor turbidity in formulations. BYK A 550 demonstrates benefits as a defoamer for solvent-borne and solvent-free systems, especially recommended for transparent formulations. It allows for a smooth surface finish with no defects by releasing entrapped air bubbles. BYK A 550 can be used at levels between 0.1-0.5% and provides a consistent performance in applications involving casting and coating processes where air elimination is critical for optical and mechanical properties.
