BYK-S 706

BYK S 706 is a leveling additive and air release agent that is commonly used in combination with other additives like BYK A 555. BYK S 706 significantly improves the leveling properties in resin systems that are based on unsaturated polyester resins. It is also used as an air release agent in polyurethane systems and promotes leveling in solvent-free epoxy resin coatings. BYK S 706 provides benefits like enhanced smoothness and reduced air entrapment when applied to resin coatings, resulting in a more uniform appearance and longer lifespan of finished surfaces. The product is preferably added before other raw materials and can also be easily mixed into finished formulations. Optimal addition levels are determined through laboratory testing but generally range from 0.5-1.5% based on total formulation weight.
